Acrobat Reader 'Internal error occurred'

I updated the latest Acrobat Reader and now get 'Internal error occurred' message. Working on Macbook Pro, El Capitan. Tried re-installing Acrobat Reader (V9,10,11 & DC) without success. Can anybody help?
