Acrobat X1 Pro wont opent in Windows 10

Hi, I have tried to open Acrobat Pro but it wont open any files. This has only recently happened as the program has been installed for a while with no previous problems. It seems that Edge wants to be the primary program and I have made Acrobat the primary program. I have also recently deleted Java from programs could this have an Impact?
