Acrobat XI, Add Text, the text box does not line up with curser. Added letters are about 1/2 to 1 line too low. How to correct?

I am using Adobe Acrobat XI on Windows 10 Pro.  The Add Text box appears to be at the right height, but when I click away, the text drops about 3/4 of a line lower.  Problem just started today. 

Is there a way to adjust the location of the text box so that it is predictable?

Go to View - Show/Hide - Rulers&Grids and tick off "Snap to Grid".

Please check if Acrobat is updated to the latest patch.See if this fixes the issue.
