Adding a movie to a PDF downgrades video quality greatly

I'm using Acrobat Pro 9 and when I add a video onto a PDF, the quality is terrible. I'm adding in a MP4 video at 1080, and when I play it back, the text is hardly readable. Is there a way to fix this? Let me know, thanks!
