Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro (v. 9.5.5) update fails

Repeated attempts to check for updates result in a message "Update failed." Is Acrobat 9 no longer supported at all?

update by downloading the files directly and then applying them:: http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/

Unfortunately, the latest update available at the link you suggest is for version 9.4.5. My version is 9.5.5. No update appears for that version.
