Adobe Acrobat caught in an activation catch 22 loop.

After a Windows 10 update my Acrobat 8.1 requires phone activation, which is no longer supported.  Going to help, activation, the app says that it is already activated.  But Acrobat doesn't function beyond Reader capabilities.  HELP!

Acrobat 8 is not compatible with Windows 10 , it may or may not work, you might refer to the following link which discusses the same issue: unable to activate adobe acrobat 8 on win 7 or win 8 online or by telephone. error code 159.41
