Adobe Acrobat Pro 8 will not update
My Adobe 8 Professional was originally activated in 2007. I recently purchased a new computer and installed my copy of Adobe 8 Pro onto it. I also uninstalled that copy from my old computer. I have noticed that I am not getting updates. When I am in Adobe and select updates in the help menu, I receive this message saying "There are no updates at this time"

Also in the "help" menu, when I select registration I get this message.
| We were unable to connect to Adobe to Register your product. |
To proceed with Registration please check the
following:
- Make sure you're connected to the Internet.
- Make sure JavaScript is enabled in your browser settings.
- Click the Register Now button.

I have a good internet connection and have made sure that my java script option is enabled in my IE11 browser settings.
Do I need to register this product to get updates?
Also, is it true that I have to go on the Adobe website and register it under "My Products" ?
If so, I have not been able to locate "My Products" on the Adobe website.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
