Adobe Acrobat typewriter tool and Windows 10

I have an associate who has Windows 10 on her computer. We are using Adobe Acrobat 7.1 on the computer, but the Typewriter tool is grayed out. Is there a compatability problem with Windows 10, or do I need to turn something off, for Typewriter to work?
