Adobe Acrobat X errors "Insufficient data for an image" and "There was an error processing an annotation or link. A file I/O error has occurred"

My company has been performing a Windows 10 roll out, and not we are having issues with Acrobat X.  We have multiple users using Acrobat X and the following errors keep occurring.

"Insufficient data for an image" and "There was an error processing an annotation or link. A file I/O error has occurred"

These are hard to replicate, as they seem to be sporadic.  The users are heavy Acrobat users.  These happen multiple times a day for them, we have been monitoring over the last week.

These issues did not occur on Windows 7.

Troubleshooting steps tried:

Reinstalled acrobat x

setup to run in Windows 7 compatibility mode

removed adobe reader

Ran the most recent update file for acrobat 10  (acrobatupd10116.msp)

Does anyone have any advice?

Thanks,

Ryan

Hi Ryan Gahan,

Please refer to this link : Error Insufficient Data For An Image in Acrobat or Reader versions 9.5.2 or 10.1.4

Also refer to this thread with similar issue: Adobe Standard 9.5.2 after update I get "Insufficient data for an image" error

Also try repairing the installation by navigating to Help>Repair installation.

Let us know if this helps.

Hi Sarojini,

Thanks for your reply.

We are currently using Acrobat 10.1.6 and they are fresh installs on Windows 10.

I have multiple users experiencing the two errors, is this compatible with Windows 10?

Do you have any other resolutions for BOTH error messages?

Thanks,

Ryan

Acrobat X (10) is not compatible with Windows 10.
