Adobe Acrobat X1 Pro closes when in Windows 10

I installed Adobe Acrobat X1 pro on some Windows 10 PC and when you open a file, the windows stays open for about 5 seconds and then closes. I've watched the Task Manager and it just kills the process. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The fix worked for me; however I never had to re-enter my SN?

Is this fix for current installs or will I have to do this for all new and existing installs at some point?

Hi Dennis,

This fix is for existing installs where you are facing the issue.

New installs will not face any such licensing issues.

Seeing similar reports in our organization as well.   Just opened a case with Adobe.  At least 40 systems reporting errors this morning.

Makes me feel better but I still need to get my Acrobat working. Do you have a number to Adobe support that I can call and get this issue moving forward?

Hi All,

Can you please use the Log Collector tool from: Adobe Creative Cloud Log Collector Tool  and send us the log files along with the serial number you are using at trkumar@adobe.com so that we can investigate further.

Hi dennisc36780740,

Do you see any error message when Acrobat XI closes?

Try to run Reader DC in compatibility mode , to do that , locate Acrobat Reader DC shortcut>right click>Properties>Compatibility>under Compatibility mode>check the box "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" select Windows 7/VIsta(SP2,SP3/XP(SP2,SP3) from the drop down>Apply>OK.

Thank You!

There is no error message, it just closes.

The reason I have Adobe Acrobat Pro so I don't have to use Adobe Reader. I need Pro to edit document.
