Adobe Acrobat XI Pro and IE 11

I am using Windows 10 and IE 11. When I try to open a PDF in IE it just opens to a blank page. I can download the PDF file to my system and open it and I can also view the files in other browsers like Chrome but not in IE !!. I have repaired both Acrobat and IE 11 but the issue remains. I have also disabled and enabled the Adobe extensions but this did not resolve the issue either.
