Adobe DC Grayed out when opened

Every time I open a document from an email the Adobe DC is grayed out and does not allow me to use any of the tools available What is going on with it and how can I fix it? I tried to open a document from my email and instantly it wanted me to print it and when I chose not to print it the screen went light gray and would not allow me to use the tools. What is going on with Adobe?
