adobe dc standard won't install

I have purchased Adobe standard DC. I am able to download, but as the setup gets to installation, I get a message that says "the application cannot be installed on this operating system"

I have Windows 7. What can cause this error message?

right click the installation file>click properties>compatibility>win 7
