Adobe Export doesn't work

I just purchased Adobe Export so I can convert a PDF whose contents can't seem to be copied and pasted into Word the old school way. I've tried three times and I get a "Conversion failed" message. Obviously, this is not what I planned to spend 20 euros. Anyone any idea what could be wrong? Surely, if Adobe can only convert documents I could copy and paste myself, this would have been a totally unnecessary investment and I'd feel conned as a result....

Without seeing the actual file it's nearly impossible to say what might have gone wrong. Also, what is the full error message you're getting?

Hi, thanks for your quick response. I get a message in my browser telling me that the conversion was unsuccessful. That's the only message I'm getting. No message generated by Adobe.... The file I wanted to convert is not a scanned document but one that's probably protected against copying and pasting just like that. I was hoping that Adobe Export could handle this type of files.

Why would it? If the author applied a security policy to prevent exporting the contents then any Adobe application will respect that policy, as it should.
