adobe reader DC crashes with microsoft word 2013 in windows 10

Hello! I need help with the following. When I am working with micr. word 2013 in a windows 10 environment (PC), and I try to open a pdf file with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, the Reader auto-closes. It is impossible to have Word and Adobe Reader open at the same time and I must then use microsoft Reader to read pdf files.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Reader DC many times already, and I have also used the Cleaner, but with no result.

Before the upgrade in Windows 10 I didn't have this problem with word 2013 and the previous version of Reader.

Could you please help?

Thank you.

Hi mk_mk,

Please check whether is there any update available for the software after going through "help > check for updates "

Follow this thread to reset the preferences for the Acrobat software :- How to reset Preference settings in Acrobat.

Also please check with the different user account to replicate the issue :- Adobe troubleshooting: Using or creating an admin account in Windows 7, 8, Vista

Hi Yatharth, thank you for your answer.

I checked for updates - none available.

I also tried your suggestion, but the moment I open adobe it creates another folder for acrobat in the app folder. And still crushes

Are these instructions at the link you suggested valid also for windows 10?
