adobe reader dc printing error

I get an error message saying 'the document could not be printed' and then a second message saying 'no pages were selected'

That happens on windows 10,windows 8.1 and windows 7

Around the internet there was the suggestion to disable Protected Mode/View under Edit > Preferences > Security.

I already did that but the message keeps appearing.

I get a similar error with office 2013 "reader"

It happens when i try to print documents in a3 pages horizontally.

Can you point out where i could find information about what is causing the two messages?

It always happens with the following print options: resize to fit, automatic page orientation, autoselect paper size (should be a3).

the error is in the conversion phase (it happens if I choose a physical printer or an oxps printer).

Event viewer shows a generic information of application error with no data.

Hi Truem,

Try the following: open Adobe Acrobat/Reader navigate to Edit menu -> Preferences

  • under Documents, change 'View documents in PDF/A mode' to Never
  • under Security (Enhanced), disable Protected Mode at startup

Click OK to confirm the changes.

Relaunch Acrobat/Reader, now try to print the PDF file.

Let me know if it works.
