Correct answer Test Screen Name

Support ended for Acrobat 9, many years ago. But happily 9.5.5 is the final update to version 9. Of course you won't be getting security fixes, for that you'd need to buy or subscribe to the current version.

It's been completely redesigned (twice) so it may take a bit of relearning.

You need to choose between subscription and permanent license. It isn't as simple as it may seem. The permanent license is just like older versions; some bug fixes, eventually you can buy an upgrade for new features. But the subscription version includes a trickle of new features (maybe this is good, maybe it is bad), and all upgrades.

For me a key factor is that Microsoft and Apple are changing their systems ever faster, with ever less care about people's old software. So ignoring upgrades for 5-10 years, while otherwise staying up to date, may not fly, though that's my preferred way of working.

Thanks. I didn't realize how old this version was when I took over the position.

Do you know of any downsides to getting the new full version?
