Adobe X Pro Conditional Fields
Hi!
I am trying to figure out how conditional fields work in Adobe X Pro. It sounds like some version of Adobe have a "combo box" to help with this, but it doesn't look like this version has it.
I would like to create a dropdown box with with a couple different options for people to choose from; I would like for a separate field in the document to show different option(s) depending on which option was selected in the first dropdown box.
For example, one dropdown box may list the choices
Animal
Fruit
Car
If someone selects "Animal" I would like for the next dropdown menu on the document to have the options "cat," "dog" and "fish," but if they instead selected "Fruit" I would want this same dropdown to only give users the option of selecting "apple," "pear," "banana," "orange" or "berry." If "car" was selected by the user on the first dropdown, then the options "Honda" and "Toyota" would pop up on the second dropdown. This example demonstrates one dropdown impacting another dropdown, but I'd also be interested to know how to have one dropdown impact just a plain text field as well.
I found an old thread from 2006 that answers my question for previous versions of Adobe, but I figured that it is probably outdated and no longer works on this version seeing as it's 10 years old. https://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/print/change_another_field
Thank you!
