after clicking on adobe pdf file a get a box saying internal error

I'm very puzzled. I click on any adobe pdf file and I get a box saying cannot open internal error.  Len

Hi ,

Could you please share the screen shot of the error message?

Also tell us the Acrobat version along with the OS you work on.

Have you tried accessing PDF' withing Acrobat,if not please try and check if you still receive the same error?

Are you able to launch Acrobat ?

If you are ,please check if it is updated to the latest patch and see if that helps.

Hello Sukrit

        I have a new Dell XPS-8600 with Windows 7 professional. I have the same problem with Acrobat 11 and Acrobat DC. It worked well with my last computer Dell XPS 400 windows XP. I'm not able to launch from the desk top icon or a file. I have uninstalled and installed both versions of Acrobat. I do not know how to share the screen shot. It's a box blue on top with Adobe Reader, in the middle it's white w/a red x internal error occurred, grey on bottom w/ok box.

        I have been on HP help desk with a printer issue. could I have gotten a virus or mal-ware?       Len
