Any way to fix audio comment quality in Acrobat DC - bad static regardless of audio input source

Does anyone else have the issue of static when recording audio comments. I use this feature so much, but since version 11 and now DC the quality is full of static and almost inaudible. Any other app records and play back just fine. High quality mic etc. Windows 10. (had similar issue in win 8.1) - is this a bug?
