Autosave and Recovery of notes on surface pro 4

Hi there,

I had written some notes on a pdf file open on Adobe Reader DC, on my surface pro 4. However the tablet restarted and I lost these notes. I found a .tmp file that had been created in an autosave folder, just before the restart. However I get an error message when I try to open it. Is there any way of recovering my lost notes? Thank you!
