Is it possible to batch edit a textual object that repeats itself in a document using edit object commands? Thanks.

As I said, this is not possible with Adobe Acrobat - at least not without some help. The Enfocus PitStop plug-in for Acrobat (this is a 3rd party product) can do some batch editing, and it may be able to remove the watermark - as long as you can describe (in PitStop terms) how the watermark can be identified.

No. What exactly are you trying to do?

I received proofs for an essay that contained something like a watermark; it was not removable by "remove watermark", so as I played around I realized it was on a deeper layer, and by revealing objects I could drag a layer and show the sublayer below, but this is tedious and replacing the text in the right place is by eye, not by calculation. I've done this now, but continue to be curious how to go about the task. tx
