Can I OCR over night rather than during the scanning process?

I was curious if there is a setting to do the OCR overnight. I run a business and I would like to have my employee's scan documents during the day and have the OCR function run overnight to maximize productivity. Is this function offered?

Acrobat is a tool for interactive office use, with some light duty automation for the user to watch. Your question suggests you are reaching far outside Acrobat's capabilities, and need to look for something (probably not an interactive tool) designed to specialise in this sort of role. Adobe do not offer any such thing, but single-focus PDF tools exist.

Hi dorthyk95016703‌,

You can turn off OCR as a part of scanning process and create an Action using Action Wizard that performs OCR over all the scanned files in a folder.

You'll have to manually invoke the action at the end of each day.
