Can I use a javascript trusted function to save directly to Sharepoint

I've been playing around with this for hours and I just can't seem to make it work.

I can save directly to a network drive.... and lots of my forms use that functionality.  But trying to save directly to SharePoint is giving me fits.

I know that I can manually save it to SharePoint.  But I'd like to put a button on a form that will automatically save to a SharePoint library.

Is it even possible to use a javascript trusted function to save directly into a SharePoint library?
