Can't Edit Links in my pdf

I am using Adobe Acrobat XI Version 11.0.5 to edit a pdf.

The pdf has links in it that need to be edited.  The links work now, but I can't edit them.

I followed the instructions here under "Edit A Link Action" -> Links and attachments in PDFs, Adobe Acrobat

When I double click my link, however, I get the option to create a new one instead of edit the old one.

Please help!  If it matters, this file was originally created in Microsoft Word.

Go to Edit - Preferences - General and tick off "Create links from URLs". Do the links disappear after you do that? If so, they are not real links, but something the application adds (if that setting is enabled) when it encounters URLs in the page. Therefore, you can't edit them using the Link tool.
