can't open pdfs anymore-free trial prompt

Question

I've never had a problem opening pdfs before-and half my documents are pdfs, but as of today I'm prompted that a sign in for my "trial" for CS6 Design and Web Premium is required. My only option is to sign in or cancel my attempt to open my documents. Huh? I've never had a trial.  I actually purchased some version of CS6 several years, ago but never use it. My daughter uses photoshop occasionally, that's it. How can I get my computer to actually let me use my adobe product now???

It's reasonable to guess Acrobat X isn't part of CS6, but this is just confusing names. Acrobat's always been in its own world. (Note: it does depend which edition of CS6 you have, but the one you say you have includes Acrobat).

Nothing sounds missing at all. This seems a license issue as I said. You may not like this tip, but it's very easy to keep floundering around for a solution, but that's not a good way to solve things, once you seem to have a lead.

When you got the computer PDF files will have opened in Preview. This is an app made by Apple (not Adobe) which comes with Mac OS. But Acrobat Pro took over from this. You could just go back to Preview if you wanted, but it's not a very good PDF viewer.
