Can't update Acrobat DC, as it keeps asking to delete the older version - which I already have done. Now what?

Adobe Acrobat DC has had the infuriating problem of not showing anything other than a blank dialog box when doing a SaveAs...

So I did an uninstall using the uninstal.app in the Acrobat DC folder. All gone. I now go back to re-install Acrobat DC, it repeatedly tells me to uninstall the previous app !!!

How do I get it to realise the previous app has been deleted?

Once it is installed again how do I get the SaveAs to work properly?

Thanks.

I have found the perfect solution! WAIT UNTIL ACROBAT GETS AN UPDATE FROM ADOBE !

By shear fluke CC offered to update two apps this morning. One being Acrobat. After the debacle I expected it to come unstuck but amazingly it seemed to fix everything!

HOORAY.

So the moral here is wait - eventually something may happened to fix your problem....

if you have windows, clean per Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs, restart your computer and then reinstall.

p.s. you may still have the same problem and need to reset your preferences:  https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1595848?start=0&tstart=0
