Cannot Create or Edit

When I try to create or edit a PDF I get the following message:

This feature is not included in your current Acrobat license

When I was chatting with support, I got the typical Adobe pass the buck and was told that I had to submit to this forum.  When I asked why I had to come here, they disconnected the chat session.

Any help would be appreciated.
