Question

Cannot delete comments after new PDF compare update.

Hi,

We have used the PDF compare feature for about 5 years now, it has its issues but it has become a very important part of our signoff procedure with our clients.

The problem is its always had a problem with generating false changes when comparing certain documents. This is frustrating but you could always manually delete out these unwanted comments..... until the latest update!

This is a real issue as there seems to be no way to remove unwanted comments generated by the compare process, you can right click the comment but the delete is greyed out.

I cannot start sending my clients PDF compare documents with incorrect comment markups!

Am i missing something?

Hope someone can help.

Hi Chris,

We are aware of this issue and would be fixing this in our next release. In the meantime, as a workaround you can set status for comments and reject the false diffs.

We love hearing from our customers and are looking to work closely with customers to understand the key challenges/ pain points as well as get feedback on early solution explorations. I will reach out to you to discuss more on compare and the pain points related to it.

Thank you,
Varinder

As a followup to this question, regarding the proposed workaround suggested by Varinder Saini, once the comment status has been set for 'reject', how can only the filtered comments (those comments whose status is NOT reject) be printed with the compared document?
