Additional info on OP: Windows machine running Windows 7, SP 1, with 4GB RAM, on Administrator account.

While there is no error message when the program fails to open it does attempt to open - I see the opening Credit Screen displaying Adobe Distiller X, Professional Version 10.1.133 and when it finishes "checking fonts..." it disappears and the distiller screen opens momentarily only to shut down and disappear from the task bar. It only briefly appears in the Task Manager. When I attempt to open Adobe Acrobat Pro nothing appears to happen.

Mac or Windows, and EXACTLY which version of the operating system?

Recent Mac AND Windows operating systems have been known to cause "odd" problems

Are you using a computer Administrator account with full read/write permission?

What is the exact error message that you see?
