cannot open up a pdf in acrobat pro 11 in windows10. Flash problem?

I,cannot open up a pdf in acrobat11 pro  using windows10. Message says I need flash. but when I try to load flash, it tells me its part of the new windows browser. But nothing happens. i am in a circle and don't have flash. Thanks.
