Cannot Start Acrobat Standard DC

Trying to start acrobat for the first time after installation. Adobe requires sign in, After entering the password the adobe screen goes blank and after a period of time it say there is no internet connection or clock is set wrong preventing communication. My internet works fine and the  clock is set correctly for my time zone. Does anybody have any suggestions?
