Color Picker and Line Thickness not working on Quick tools bar

I added Color Picker and Line Thickness to my Quick tools bar. When I click on those tools, the dropdown menu doesn't appear on the quick tools bar. Is there any known fix for this issue?

    I have the same question, except my Color Picker, Line Thickness and Text Properties are in a Custom Toolbar I created.  See image:

    The color picker and line thickness icons turn blue as they do when you're accessing the tools from the Comment toolbar, but the menus below each allowing you to change options are not available unless you're accessing from comment toolbar.
