Combine PDF's on network locations

Hello,

I am having trouble using the combine pdf feature to combine documents i have stored on a network location.  I have done a quick internet search about this issue and all i can find in terms of solutions is to copy the files locally to my computer and then combine, or select the files in questions with a combination of UNC path or ip address, and mapped network drive.
