Combining PDFs. Possible to set properties to different page layouts (one-up, then two-up) for different parts/pages when combining different pdfs?

I want the first two pages to appear to be one up page layout (that's my resume and cover letter) when you click on the pdf.  It could be two up facing as well.  But after those two pages I want the next 8 pages to have the appearance of two up COVER page layout (starting with a single page for the cover then two up facing again for the rest) since the next portion is a mini portfolio sample.  Is this possible?  to have 2 different page layouts start at different parts of the pdf document?  I want to control how the viewer would see the document when they open it.  Thanks.
