Combining signed documents without losing signatures.

I need to combine signed documents and am getting an error that says I will lose my signatures if I continue.  It also says to go to settings and choose PDF portfolio option.  However I do not see "settings" anywhere in my interface.  Any suggestions?

The "Signature" on a PDF file applies to the totality of that file has not changed since applying the signature. Inserting another signed PDF adds new pages to the PDF so the signature has to indicate this change.

With Acrobat there is an option under "File => Create => PDF Portfolio" that can walk one through creating a Portfolio which would contain each individually sighed PDF as separate files so the signed files remain as individual files just like on a hard disk

There are 2 starting points for creating Portfolios. One is through Acrobat's Menu bar, File => Create, and the other is using the Tools. combine files. In both approaches one needs to read the instructions and make sure one has selected "Portfolio" for output option for the task. You might want to read about Portfolios in Acrobat's Help file or link.

For using the "Combine Files" tool:

Adobe does have some issues with messages and documentation not always being consistent with the actual program interface.

The "settings" referred to are actually under the Options button in the Combine Files dialog:
