Convert DWG to PDF in B&W

Hello,

Is it any way to convert DWG-files (AutoCAD) to PDF in Black & White? Is it possible in the latest Acrobat version?

In Windows Explorer, its possible to right-click and "Convert to Adobe PDF" on one or more DEG-files. But it's in color, and I can't figure out how to make it in Black & White like we need to have it.

I'm working with AutoCAD LT 2015, but this issue is for non-AutoCAD users. I have tried to to set the locations for "Plot Configuration" and "Plot Style Table" like my AutoCAD, in Configuration Preferences for DGW-document, without any luck. Actually Adobe crashes when I do so.

Have you figured out a solution? I cant find whatever profile setting Adobe is using when you right click on a .dwg and convert to pdf. I've changed settings in Adobe Distiller and played around with color options, but my exports continue to be in color. I'm using Adobe X Pro 10. I put a work around below. Not perfect, but it gets all your CAD drawing files exported to black and white pdf pages in just a few clicks.

From windows explorer folder, select all your .dwg files to convert to pdf. Right click and select combine files in Acrobat. From here you can also choose what layouts to include. Run the tool and the combined files should open up Adobe with # of pages = to layouts you selected. Go to View tab / Tools / Print Production. When the toolbar pops up, click Convert Colors. Under attributes drop down the Conversion Profile and scroll down to Dot Gain or Gray Gamma options. I use Dot Gain 30. Hit OK and yes to continue (warning pops up saying operation can not be undone). All pages should change to black and white.

Hi Laban75,

Do you want to convert all object and layer to black & white or just the fonts in the DWG files?

If  Autocad is installed: Open Dwg file in Autocad then got ot Print (CTRL+P)->Adobe PDF (in printer name)->Properties-> Device and Document setting->Custom Properties->Paper/Quality and then select Black & white. The resultant PDF will be black&white PDF.
