convert pdf to word

I bought the Adobe product to convert a PDF to Word. When I go into open the PDF file on the right hand side it gives me an option to convert. I click on that button and it takes me to the screen where I should buy the software. I've already bought the software I have an account and so now I'm waiting for it to work. It's been about 20 minutes and I go back out to the document click on convert it still takes me to the page to buy the software. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

For processing PDFs there are 2 products. One is the free Adobe Reader and the other is the purchased or subscription to Acrobat Standard/Professional. The free Reader offers subscriptions to web services to perform some task that are included in Acrobat. Acrobat has no other purchase or subscription requirements to use any of its services.

When you install Acrobat, this should be set for the default viewer of PDFs.

Make sure you have downloaded and installed the Acrobat software. You also must make sure you are opening the PDFs to be processed in Acrobat and not the free Reader.

You can be sure you are using Acrobat if you open the Acrobat application and then open the file you want to process.

The title banner or the "Help => About" will help you confirm you are using Acrobat and not the free Reader.
