I'm having this same problem. It was working fine earlier this week.  I click the "create a pdf from scanner" and it either hangs up on that button or if it takes me to the next screen, when I go to scan, it says there is no connection.  The printer (mine is a Canon) is connected properly and I can print from it fine.  The only thing that could possibly have changed was there was a Windows 10 update, but I don't know how to fix it.  Please advise!

Thanks for contacting me. All I did was contact apple/Imac tech support, brother printer and finally Adobe who have always been useless. hey are only good at taking your money. I did received several pop ups from apple and the problem mysteriously fixed it’s self. Thanks again.
