Dash arguments are invalid?

I'm exporting a pdf from InDesign CC.  One of the pages is throwing an error and showing as blank.  I can't even delete or replace the page... when I try it tells me that "dash arguments are invalid."  This page has a block of text (continued from the previous page) and a page number (from a master page).  The text uses one paragraph style and one character style.  There's nothing even slightly fancy about it.  Any thoughts?
