DC - Word print to PDF woes

Creative Cloud Acrobat DC (newly installed)

MS Word 2007

This never happened to me with Acrobat 6.

The output from Word to DC is unacceptable. Images drift, overlap text, etc...

Tabloid document with pictures on the left and text on the right.  This is  2-column table template.

Print to PDF - High Quality Print CMYK,  2400 resolution

Compatible with Acrobat 8, also tried compatible with Acrobat 5

Embedded fonts

No errors during conversion

What should I be looking for to right this ship?
