Desktop version, not subscription

I have Acrobat XI Pro, how can I update to the latest version (DC ?!), desktop version?

Don't want subscription version! And what is the price for the update?

Can't find any way to buy desktop versions of anything! (i am also interested in Lightroom)

If you want a perpetual license version of Acrobat DC follow these instructions (Adobe is doing its best to hide this option, I'm afraid):

Go to the Adobe Products Page: https://www.adobe.com/products/catalog/software.html

Click on the Buy button next to Acrobat Pro DC, and then change the "I want to buy" option to "Full" (or "Upgrade" if you have a qualifying earlier version).

Then select the other options and click on Add To Cart, and proceed to checkout. You'll get a full license, not a time-based subscription.

I think you may be one of many misled by the word "Cloud" into thinking it's a new kind of software (Creative Cloud, Document Cloud). It isn't. It's just a marketing name. So the software installs locally. Of course, it has to reach out to check the subscription, but the non-subscription version has to reach out to check the serial number. Much the same deal. You have the option to save files to a private Adobe cloud if that's what you like.

So, Acrobat DC is available in subscription ("continuous") and permanent license ("classic"). I'd strongly advice the subscription because it includes upgrades. Systems and hardware are now changing faster and faster, with ever less concern for compatibility. The permanent license versions will soon be paperweights. And the classic is getting new features all the time - for example, you don't get tabs in the permanent license.

Most Creative Cloud apps (CC) are subscription only. There is an exception for LightRoom.

Thank you for your reply.

I'm not misled. Perhaps my question was not well explained (my natural language is not English). When questioning about the diferent versions I was talking about different commercial versions: one is by subscription and the other is by licensing, what I called desktop (in fact, I think that several weeks ago, this "name" was used in Adobe Web Site!).

I am perfectly aware about the differences (advantages & disadvantages) of each of the commercial offers. The issue is that I usually dont update the "classic" (to use your designation) software every year. It is not fixed, sometimes I update 3 years or even 4~5 years. So it is cheaper to have a permanent ("classic") license instead of a subscription. I don't need to have, immediately, the newer versions.

But my question is much simpler: I'm having troubles to find where can I buy the "classic" version! Can you give me the "link" that allows me to buy the update of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC (the latest version)? Some time ago Adobe has an option to buy the "classic" version , but I couldn't find a way to chose the update price. Now, this option no longer exists. So, where is it? I would appreciate to be informed.

For Lightroom, I would appreciat if I was informed where I can find a way to buy the "classic" commercial offer.

If, after all, there is no way to buy the "classic" versions from Adobe (like I have doing for a long time), I will find some alternatives, cheaper than the subscription commercial offer of Adobe.
