Distance tool problem in Adobe Acrobat pro Extended

Having trouble with distance tool in Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended.  I set scale ratio to .125 inches = 1 foot (the scale of the blueprint I'm working with is 1/8" to 1').  when I use the measuring tool to measure from one point to another, the result comes up in inches, not feet.  Did I miss a step?

This problem surfaced this morning for us also. In the past, and for thousands of documents, it has worked flawlessly.

We quit Acrobat to no avail. I am going to try and restart the computer. (OSX 10.10.5)

Version is 11.0.14
