Distiller DC 15.016 won't create PDFs Mac OS X 10.11.5

I've tried dragging files onto the Distiller DC app to create files, but in each instance it fails. Even files as simple as .txt files.

Here is an example of the log files it leaves behind…

%%[ Error: undefined; OffendingCommand: Since ]%%

%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%

%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%

You should not be dragging text files on Distiller. Distiller only works on postscript files.

Oh, I had the wrong idea about the purpose of distiller. I thought it was a droplet program that would covert many types of files into PDFs.

Weird that Distiller wouldn't just plainly tell the user that it only coverts ps files instead of the obscure error.

Distiller assumes everything is a PS file. This is the sort of weird error you get if a PS file is bad.

Hi -

Have you tried initiating the process a different way? What happens if you open Distiller first and then select the file? Does the same problem occur if you're trying to create a PDF file?

Since Distiller is part of the larger Acrobat installation, and you're on Mac, you could uninstall/reinstall Acrobat to repair any errors in the programming, including Distiller.
