"Drawing Error"

Almost every PDF that I try to read is opened by Acrobat DC with a "Drawing Error" warning, indicating that it can't locate Ariel or Times New Roman. The PDFs are displayed completely garbled and this is harmful to my work.

I am very dissatisfied with the customer service which offers a fake "chat" session, where in fact I'm the only person chatting. No one ever contacts me despite the fact that Adobe is charging me every month for a service that it does not provide me -- a working PDF application.
