edit pdf page without surpassing its borders/frame: how?

it is important because of the footnotes down each page ;

I mean not hidden comments or attachments, but additional automatically displayed text and pics on the same page. Water mark display is also acceptable, shrinking also.

Editing in Word is excluded, because it is badly recognized.

I have found a plugin for that purpose:

http://www.quite.com/imposing/index.htm
"Quite Imposing Plus is a plug-in for Adobe’s Acrobat 9, "X" (10), "XI" (11) and DC. It does...Imposing. This is all about combining pages onto larger sheets to make books, booklets, or special arrangements."

Too expensive and not handy.

Hi ,

Please elaborate more on this.

Are you already experiencing this while editing a PDF?

What exactly a are you trying to do?

Please update us on the Acrobat and OS version in use.

How do you want to edit the PDF?

while inserting text or image in a pdf page, the page will grow and becomes 2 pages, and it is not acceptable because of the existing footnotes.

I use Adobe Acrobat DC edit tool.

I want Acrobat to shrink the page accordingly.

PDF files were not meant to be edited in such a way. Go back to the original file format, edit it and then generate a new PDF file from it.
