Hi There, when I edit text in Acrobat DC (change the wording) the letters appear to bunch up and spaces between words disappear.  Please suggest what I can do to stop that. Thank you

There are some plug-ins you can buy that work a little better than the built in editor, PitStop works pretty well, but is expensive. If your PDF was created in Illustrator, you may be able to edit the text there, if you have the necessary fonts. You can determine the program that created the PDF by going to File> Properties> Description.

I should also mention illustrator is not a universal PDF editor, unexpected changes can occur to PDFs that were not created in Illustrator.

If you're editing static text (using the Edit Text & Images tool), then there's nothing you can do about it. This kind of operation is tricky is risky.

Sometimes it works very nicely, other times it doesn't. Depending on how the file was created and a bunch of other factors.

It's best to avoid doing it if it all possible.

resize the textfield that contains the problematic text.
