I need to be able to attach a pdf document on my existing pdf document but I need it to be embedded in the document in one of the page as an icon so that when we click on that pdf icon, it opens the file. Just how we can do it with a Word document where we can embed a file as an object within a word document as an icon and when we click on it, it will open the file. I know we can attach a pdf file to the document but I want to be able to embed the file in one of the page as a pdf icon.Is this possible on Adone Acrobat Pro? I am using Adobe AAcrobat Pro 2015 Release version 2015.017.20053

You can attach a file as a comment.

You can use a button and set it's icon to whatever you want, and set the Mouse Up action of the button to open a PDF attachment.

Here's a link to a sample that's set up this way: Shared Files - Acrobat.com

Hi George,

I managed to find out the process. However, when I copy the pdf file to my thumb drive, the icon does not open the file. If this a link to the file or is the entire file embedded in the pdf ? For example, if I embed a file in a Word document, the file is basically with the Word document and it is not a link to the file. Therefore, I can copy the Word document to an location and when I click on the embedded file, it will still open.

Appreciate your assistance.
