My system is windows 7 64bit. I am using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro Version 11.0.14. When ever i try to update it it fails and says error 1328. It says "Error 1328.Error applying patch to file C:Config.Msi\PT9991.tmp. It has probably been updated by other means, and can no longer be modified by this patch. For more information contact your patch vendor."

any help would be awesome.

Correct answer kglad

And I was wrong, it is a Windows 8.1 system not Windows 10. Too much going on at once.

update your win 8.1.

then update acrobat by downloading the files directly and then applying them:

empty your temp folder and retry updating.

if that fails, uninstall acrobat xi, clean per Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs and reinstall and update.
