Export print action to excel register

Hi

I have created a form for producing formal Certificates of Conformity and I need to record each one when it is printed.  Is it possible to create an instruction to write certain form field values to an Excel spread sheet register when the document is printed?  I've tried digging around the forums for this kind of subject but haven't found anything.
